This full CNA program is designed to prepare students with the essential nursing care skills required to work as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in Texas. Students complete online theory, hands-on skills lab training, and supervised clinical experience while preparing for the Texas Nurse Aide certification exam.

  • Skills Lab Training: 10 hours on campus (2 days)
  • Clinical Training: 40 hours at an approved clinical site (5 days)
  • Clinical & Skills Training: Schedule assigned after enrollment based on available school and clinical site schedules
  • Schedule Options: Weekday and weekend options may be available depending on the school schedule

Certification Exam

  • The Texas Nurse Aide certification exam is administered through Prometric.
  • The exam includes two parts: a Written or Oral Knowledge Exam and a Skills Demonstration Exam.
  • Students must successfully pass both parts to become listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry.
  • Training completion and certification-related information may be reported through TULIP according to Texas state requirements.
  • Students must meet all Texas Health and Human Services (THHS), TULIP, Prometric, and Texas Nurse Aide Registry requirements.

Tuition Information

  • Tuition includes online coursework, skills lab training, textbooks, CNA skills workbook, and clinical training support.
  • Registration Fee: $50 required separately
  • AHA BLS (CPR) Certification: $95 required separately, if not already completed
  • State Certification Exam Fee: Not included

Admission Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Government-issued photo ID or passport
  • Social Security Number (SSN) or ITIN
  • Vaccination records may be required for clinical participation, including MMR, TB, TDaP, and HepB
  • Background check required and may be completed by the school
  • AHA BLS (CPR) certification required prior to graduation or clinical participation
  • Additional clinical-site compliance documents may be required depending on facility policy

  • Full attendance is required for successful completion of required training hours.
  • Students must meet clinical-site requirements before participating in clinical training.
