DMS Advanced Nursing Education – FAQ

Answers to common questions about eligibility, CE, hands-on training, and enrollment.

1. Who is eligible to enroll in your programs?
Our programs are designed exclusively for licensed nurses, including RNs, NPs, and LVNs. Eligibility may vary by course and is based on active licensure and applicable state regulations.
2. Are these courses considered continuing education (CE)?
DMS Advanced Nursing Education is an approved provider of continuing nursing education through the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Select programs offer ANCC-approved CE hours, which will be clearly identified on individual course pages.
3. Do I need prior experience in IV therapy or aesthetics to enroll?
Prior experience is not required for all courses. Some programs are appropriate for nurses new to advanced clinical or aesthetic skills, while others may require foundational experience. We recommend a free 15-minute consultation to determine the best fit.
4. What documents are required for enrollment?
Most programs require an active nursing license (RN, NP, or LVN), a government-issued photo ID, and a completed enrollment agreement. Additional documentation may be required for certain courses and will be confirmed prior to enrollment.
5. Is there a registration fee?
Yes. A non-refundable registration fee is required to process enrollment, verify eligibility, and reserve a seat in the selected program. The registration fee is separate from tuition.
6. Can nurses from other states enroll?
Yes. Nurses licensed in other states may enroll. However, scope-of-practice and supervision requirements vary by state, and participants are responsible for practicing within their applicable regulations.
7. Are the courses hands-on or online?
Most programs include hands-on, in-person training led by experienced nurse educators. Some courses may include online or hybrid components for theory and preparation, depending on the program.
8. Will this training allow me to practice independently or open a med spa?
No. Completion of training provides education and skill development only. Authority to practice is determined by state law, licensure level, and any required medical oversight. All skills must be applied within scope of practice.
9. Are your course offerings limited to what is listed on the website?
No. Our programs are not limited to the courses currently listed. We continuously expand our curriculum to include additional advanced clinical and aesthetic education aligned with evolving nursing practice.
10. How do I know which program is right for me?
We offer a free 15-minute consultation to review your license, experience, and goals. This helps ensure you select a program aligned with your background and regulatory requirements.

Note: All programs are educational in nature and must be practiced in accordance with applicable state regulations and nursing scope-of-practice requirements.
