AHA ACLS Instructor Course
The ACLS Instructor Course prepares qualified healthcare professionals to become certified American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Instructors.
This program follows the official AHA Instructor certification pathway and includes faculty-guided instructor development, hands-on methodology training, and supervised teaching evaluation in accordance with American Heart Association standards.
Instructor Certification Process
- Complete the official AHA ACLS Instructor Essentials Online Course
- Submit your application to DMS
- Attend the DMS hands-on Instructor training session (approximately 1 hour)
- Successfully complete the required monitoring session
- Receive official AHA ACLS Instructor status upon Training Center approval
Prerequisites
- Current AHA BLS Provider certification
- Current AHA ACLS Provider certification
- Completion of the official AHA ACLS Instructor Essentials Online Course prior to attending the hands-on session
Application Requirement
Applicants must use the same email address associated with their AHA account (Instructor Network) when submitting the application. The email must match the AHA Instructor Essentials Online account to ensure proper alignment and instructor ID processing.
Hands-On Instructor Training Includes
- AHA Instructor account setup guidance
- ACLS course structure and algorithm teaching strategies
- Megacode facilitation and team leadership training
- Skills testing administration and evaluation standards
- Effective feedback and remediation techniques
- Live teaching practice under RN Faculty supervision
- Monitoring preparation and evaluation
Scheduling
Hands-on instructor training sessions are approximately 1 hour in length and are scheduled by appointment (Monday–Wednesday, between 9:00 AM–4:00 PM). Final confirmation will be provided after application review.
