Join a live DMS phlebotomy skills lab and gain additional hands-on venipuncture practice before entering the workforce.

How It Works
Students will join an active DMS Phlebotomy Skills Lab alongside currently enrolled students.
This is not a private lesson. It is an opportunity to participate in a real classroom lab environment and continue practicing under instructor supervision.
What You Will Practice
- Approximately 40 venipuncture practice attempts using phlebotomy training arms.
- 1–2 live venipunctures on volunteer classmates or participants, when available.
- Patient preparation and positioning.
- Proper needle handling and safety technique.
- Tube selection and order of draw review.
- Confidence-building through repeated practice.
- Instructor feedback during the lab session.

Scheduling
Skills Lab sessions follow the DMS Phlebotomy class schedule. Students must review the available schedule and reserve a seat before attending.

Space is limited and based on current lab availability. Live venipuncture opportunities depend on participant availability and instructor approval.
You can begin the program at any time and attend the school lab on scheduled dates.
