What is BLS?

BLS (Basic Life Support) is a training course that teaches life-saving skills such as high-quality CPR (chest compressions), rescue breathing, and the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and other life-threatening emergencies. This course is certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) and is required for healthcare professionals and students enrolled in CNA and other healthcare training programs.

Course Format & Preparation

  • Total Duration: Approximately 2 hours (1.5 hours online + 30 minutes hands-on)
  • Course Steps:
    1. Step 1: Complete payment using the course link below.
    2. Step 2: After payment, complete the BLS online course (approximately 1.5 hours).
    3. Step 3: After finishing the online portion, attend the scheduled hands-on skills session at DMS.
  • Certification: Upon completion of the hands-on session, the official AHA BLS certification card will be issued on the same day.
