AHA BLS Instructor Certification Process

Step 1 — Application & Payment

Submit your instructor application to DMS Care and complete course payment.
After enrollment, DMS will provide guidance regarding the required AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Online Course.

Step 2 — Personalized Instructor Training

Complete your individual DMS instructor training session.

Training includes teaching methodology, student management, AHA course workflow, and preparation to teach BLS Provider courses.

Onsite training is available in Carrollton, Texas. Zoom options may be available for eligible candidates.
Step 3 — Monitoring Session

Complete the required monitoring session following AHA instructor requirements.
Step 4 — AHA Instructor Approval

Receive official AHA BLS Instructor status after successful completion and Training Center approval.
