A Medical Administrative Assistant works in a variety of healthcare settings—including hospitals, clinics, and medical offices—supporting daily operations through patient intake, scheduling, documentation, and administrative services.
This program is designed to build practical medical administrative skills and prepare students for the NHA CMAA national certification.

- Answer phones and schedule patient appointments
- Register patients and manage basic Electronic Health Records (EHR)

- $50 registration fee / AHA BLS (CPR) certification $95 / Certification exam fee not included
Certification Exam
- Six full-length practice exams provided
- Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the NHA CMAA (Certified Medical Administrative Assistant) certification exam.
- The exam evaluates medical office operations, patient communication, scheduling, documentation, healthcare workflow, compliance, and professionalism.
Admission Requirements (Summary)
- Must be at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18
- Government-issued photo identification or passport
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent documentation
- BLS (CPR) certification must be submitted prior to program completion
