Cancellation and Refund Policy
11. Cancellation and Refund Policy
DMS Care Training Center adheres to the cancellation and refund requirements mandated by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). This policy complies with Texas Education Code Section 132 and applies to all programs offered by the school.
Cancellation Policy
- A full refund will be issued if enrollment is canceled within 72 hours (until midnight of the third day, excluding weekends and legal holidays).
- A full refund will be issued if the student cancels enrollment within the first three (3) scheduled class days. The school may retain up to $100 for administrative fees and documented extra expenses.
Refund Policy
Refunds are calculated based on the scheduled course time through the student’s last documented date of attendance.
The effective date of termination for refund purposes is the earliest of:
- The date the student is terminated by the school
- The date the school receives written notice of withdrawal
- Ten (10) school days following the student’s last date of attendance
- If tuition and fees are collected before the first class day, the school may retain no more than $100 if the student withdraws after the 72-hour cancellation period.
- If a student withdraws after starting the program, tuition will be refunded on a pro rata basis for the unused portion of the program, provided that less than 75% of the program has been completed.
- No refund is due if the student has completed 75% or more of the program.
- If textbooks, supplies, or tools have been used, their cost is non-refundable.
Military Service Provision
Students who are called to active military duty may request one of the following options:
- Pro rata refund
- Incomplete status with re-enrollment within 12 months at no additional cost
- An appropriate final grade if 90% or more of the program has been completed
Refund Processing: All approved refunds will be processed and issued within 60 days of the official termination date.
