Class Schedule and Enrollment
Enrollment is open year-round, with new classes starting every month. This structure helps students join a guided class cycle while still completing coursework and practical training in a clear sequence.
Coursework is completed through a hybrid format, combining 330 hours of online learning, 30 hours of hands-on skills practice, and 40 hours of clinical externship. Students should be prepared to participate in both academic and practical training components.

Certification Exam
- Upon successful completion, students are eligible to take the NHA CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) exam
- Six full-length practice exams provided
- The NHA CCMA exam measures the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level clinical medical assistant work, including patient care, infection control, medical terminology, EKG, phlebotomy, pharmacology, administrative procedures, and professional communication.
- The exam includes 180 questions total: 150 scored questions and 30 unscored pretest questions.
- Students have 3 hours to complete the exam.
- A passing scaled score of 390 out of 500 is required.
- If a student does not pass, NHA allows retesting after the required waiting period according to NHA retake policies.

Hands-On Skills Training
Hands-on training is a core part of the CCMA program. Students develop practical skills in injections, phlebotomy, EKG, dressing care, and related clinical procedures used in real healthcare settings.
After enrollment, required skills training should be scheduled separately through the Skill Schedule page to select an available session.
