Your Guide to Training, Graduation Requirements & NHA Certification
Your Textbook & Shipping Information
Your textbook will be shipped after your tuition payment has been received and should arrive within 10 days of payment.
Your textbook will be shipped to the mailing address provided on your admission application.
If you would like your textbook shipped to an address different from the one listed on your admission application, please contact DMS Care Training Center as soon as possible so we can update your shipping information before the book is sent.

Complete Your DMS Foundation Courses
DMS Care Training Website: www.dmscare.org
After logging in, go to My Courses to access your required coursework.
- Anatomy & Physiology (A&P)
- Medical Terminology
Both courses are required and must be completed within one month of registration.
Complete Your NHA Online Study
NHA Website: www.nhanow.com
Log in to your NHA account and begin your assigned Study Guide.
- Complete all Study Guide modules.
- Score 80% or higher on each quiz.
- Complete all assigned Practice Exams.
- Complete the Final Practice Exam.
After completing all required coursework and practice exams, you will be ready to proceed with the NHA Certification Exam for your enrolled program.
Use the NHA App for Extra Review
The NHA mobile app can be a convenient study tool while preparing for your certification exam.
- Review materials on your phone while you are on the go.
- Use Flashcards to review important terms and concepts.
- Use short periods of free time for consistent exam review.
DMS Tip: Frequent, repeated review can help you stay familiar with key concepts as you prepare for your exam.
Learn More About the NHA Mobile AppCPR (AHA BLS)
Students who are required to attend skills training must also complete the AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) course.
- Register for the BLS course through the DMS Care Training website.
- Course Fee: $95 (includes certification).
- Create an AHA Atlas account.
- Complete the online training.
- Attend the in-person CPR Hands-On Training at DMS.
After successfully completing both the online training and the hands-on session, you will receive your AHA BLS Certification.

NHA Exam Scheduling
After completing all required coursework, you may proceed with scheduling your NHA certification exam.
Continuing directly into exam preparation helps you take the test while the material is still fresh.
Certification Completion Checklist
Before taking your NHA certification exam, make sure you have completed all applicable requirements below.
- Anatomy & Physiology (A&P)
- Medical Terminology
- NHA Study Guide – all modules
- All quizzes – 80% or higher
- Final Practice Exam – 80% or higher required for graduation
- AHA BLS Online Training + Hands-On Training, if required
