Texas CNA Skills Exam Guide (Prometric)

After completing the required class hours at a CNA training school, students become eligible to take the certification exam. Once the school confirms that the student has successfully completed the program, the testing organization called Prometric allows the student to schedule the exam.

The total cost of the exam, including both the written and skills portions, is $125.

The skills exam consists of 22 possible skill topics. During the exam, you will be required to perform three randomly selected skills.

However, scoring is based on five items because hand hygiene and professional behavior are always included in the evaluation.
