Who This Lab Is For

• DMS Phlebotomy graduates who want additional practice.
• DMS CCMA graduates who completed phlebotomy training.
• Certified phlebotomists who want to refresh their skills before employment.
• Graduates from other schools who did not receive enough hands-on practice.
• Students who want more confidence before their first healthcare job.

How It Works

Students will join an active DMS Phlebotomy Skills Lab alongside currently enrolled students.

This is not a private lesson. It is an opportunity to participate in a real classroom lab environment and continue practicing under instructor supervision.

What You Will Practice

• Approximately 40 venipuncture practice attempts using phlebotomy training arms.
• 1–2 live venipunctures on volunteer classmates or participants, when available.
• Patient preparation and positioning.
• Proper needle handling and safety technique.
• Tube selection and order of draw review.
• Confidence-building through repeated practice.
• Instructor feedback during the lab session.

Skills Lab sessions follow the DMS Phlebotomy class schedule. Students must review the available schedule and reserve a seat before attending.
